Residential Training

Why Choose Residential Training?

Residential training is a great way to kick start your dog’s training and build the foundations needed for long term success. Your dog will live within a home environment while we work on obedience, engagement, confidence and overall behaviour in a structured but realistic environment.

Training isn’t limited to the training field. Your dog will be properly exposed to everyday life including walks, public spaces, new environments and real world distractions to help create reliable behaviour that transfers into day to day life.

Whether you are struggling with behavioural issues or simply want to create a calmer, better behaved dog, residential training allows me to work consistently with your dog while also helping guide you through the process once they return home.

Build Strong Foundations

Perfect for puppies, adolescent dogs, or owners wanting to create better structure, engagement and obedience from the start.

Behavioural Rehabilitation

Suitable for dogs struggling with reactivity, anxiety, aggression, over-arousal, fearfulness or poor impulse control.

Break Through Training Plateaus

Ideal for owners who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated after trying multiple approaches without seeing lasting progress.

Reliable Off Lead Freedom

Develop better recall, engagement and responsiveness both around distractions and in real world environments.

Lead Walking & Public Behaviour

Turn stressful walks into something enjoyable through clearer communication, better lead manners and calmer behaviour around distractions.

Calmness Inside the Home

Residential training also focuses heavily on household behaviour including crate training, place training, boundaries and switching off properly indoors.

Confidence Around Dogs & People

For dogs lacking confidence or struggling socially, training can help improve neutrality, calmness and more appropriate interactions.

Structured Exposure to Real Environments

Dogs are gradually introduced to parks, public spaces, cafés and other busy environments to help generalise their training.

Proper Introduction to Training Tools

Where appropriate, I can help condition and introduce tools such as slip leads, prong collars and e-collars in a fair and structured way.

Ongoing Owner Support

Training doesn’t stop once your dog goes home. Handover sessions and continued support help owners maintain and build on the progress made during the stay.

What Clients Say

"We sent out 18 month old Vizsla boy for 3 weeks of training with Ben. Prior to training, our boy was extremely anxious, we were unable to leave him alone for more than 15 minutes, he was reactive to children and strangers, sometimes lunging at people walking past us. We were at breaking point.

Ben created an incredible bond of trust with our boy, initially focusing on the basics (crate training, lead training and boundaries), at the end of the 3 weeks, we met a totally new dog, he was calmer, able to be left alone for 3 hours, not reactive to strangers & children (but still incredibly goofy and fun!)
This has been life changing for us and our boy, we’re able to ‘have our life back’ and also enjoy our puppy without fear of reactivity. Ben is an incredibly gentle person who really understands each dog's personality, he showed so much care during and after the training. We received detailed guidance and instructions so we can continue the training. We are so grateful and fully recommend to anyone struggling. Don’t leave it too late! "
